Regulatory Landscape

The regulatory landscape continues to evolve, and three key regulations have recently been introduced or significantly updated that are likely to impact the day-to-day operations of many HAI members. Staying informed and compliant is essential, and HAI is committed to supporting members through these changes. To assist, we have provided contact details and support information for each of the three subject areas, giving members direct access to expert guidance and practical resources:

The EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) will come into effect on 30 December 2026 and will impact businesses placing relevant timber and wood products on the EU market. Members trading in these products should familiarise themselves with the new due diligence and compliance requirements.
