It is with great sadness that we share the news that Derrick Laing has passed away suddenly. Derrick was a true gentleman, respected by colleagues and customers alike throughout his long career in the industry. He spent over a decade with Wood Mouldings before joining DS Supplies in 2012, where he served as Business Development Manager until 2017.
Derek Doyle, MD of DS Supplies said, “During his time with us, Derrick built lasting relationships across the trade, his warmth, integrity, and dedication left a real mark on everyone who worked with him. Even years after his return to Scotland in 2017, customers continued to ask after him, a testament to the impression he made and the genuine connections he built”.
Derrick is survived by his wife, Suzanne, to whom our thoughts go out at this difficult time. He will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and working with him.
