The .IE Digital Town Awards are now open

.IE are calling on businesses, people and towns across Ireland to enter the annual .ie Digital Town Awards 2024. These awards celebrate the digital achievements of local towns, businesses and citizens across the country. The .ie Digital Town Awards create a sense of pride in a town and act as a catalyst for creating positive change.

Now open for applications, there is a total prize fund of €60,000 across a range of categories to honour local towns, businesses and people that have contributed to enhancements in areas such as sustainability, agri-tech, digital tourism, community, education, and digital business. Individual businesses are eligible to enter.

The .ie Digital Towns Awards 2024 is an initiative of .ie, a profit-for-good company and manager of Ireland’s trusted online .ie address.

Award Categories:

  • 12 of the awards will be for digital projects in local towns.
  • Two special awards – Digital Changemaker and Digital Rising Star.
  • Digital Local Hero – a person in your community who is an unsung hero working tirelessly on initiatives to promote the digital enhancement of your town.
  • Newcomer Award – This category is for projects at the early stage of development that are harnessing the benefits of digital to promote a local initiative.
Tina Mulhearn, Business Advisor, Local Enterprise Office, Tipperary; Oonagh McCutcheon, National Director, .ie Digital Town Programme. Clonmel, Co. Tipperary was crowned the overall winner of the .IE Digital Town Awards 2023. The town was chosen from the category winners as overall winner, in addition to winning the Agri-tech category prize.

Entry to the Awards is free, applications close at 5pm on Friday 1st March 2024.
