Heavins.ie wins three National Titles at the Irish eCommerce Awards 2026

Heavins.ie, the online arm of Athlone family business Topline Heavins & Euronics, has won three national titles at the Irish eCommerce Awards 2026, powered by Fiserv, at a gala ceremony recently held in The Round Room at The Mansion House, Dublin.

Shortlisted in eight categories going into the night, the strongest showings of any business on this year’s list, the Westmeath retailer came away with three wins.

Award Winner
Customer Service Award: Heavins.ie
Business Growth Award (sponsored by IRP Commerce): Heavins.ie
eCommerce Rising Star Award (Under 30): Ben Hade, Heavins.ie

The results put a family business from Athlone in the same winners’ list as some of the best-known names in Irish online retail, across awards judged on customer experience, commercial growth and individual achievement.

Paul Heavin, Managing Director, Hiran Ravilla, Business Analyst & Ben Hade, Digital Marketing Assistant Manager.

It is a long way from where the business started. Willie and Maureen Heavin opened a small hardware shop at the McCormack Centre in Athlone in January 1984, and the business has stayed in the family ever since, run today by Managing Directors Derek & Paul Heavin from a 17,000 sq ft superstore at Shannon Retail Park.

Heavins.ie launched in 2019 and now accounts for more than half of the company’s revenue, shipping hardware, electrical appliances, homeware, garden, toys, jewellery and gifts to customers in every county in Ireland and supporting a team of more than 40 people in Athlone.

Paul Heavin, Managing Director of Topline Heavins & Euronics and Heavins.ie, said: “Winning the Customer Service Award is the one that means the most to me, because it is not about technology or budgets. It is about how the team in Athlone looks after people on the phone, at the counter and online.

Put that beside the Business Growth Award and you have the whole story of the last few years in two trophies. My uncle Willie opened this shop in 1984 to serve people in Athlone. Forty-two years on we are serving customers in every county in the country, and we are still doing it from Shannon Retail Park.”
