Unilin Insulation Discovery Hub was conceived to assist construction professionals in understanding the principles of specifying and achieving on-site, best practice, insulation standards for new dwellings, commercial envelope solutions and refurbishment projects. This support is targeted at construction and design professionals, as well as educators and their students.
For the construction professional, Discovery Hub offers a host of webinars, CPD presentations and toolbox talks to ensure a greater understanding of best practice in construction. There are also online resources available on www.unilininsulation.ie such as BIM Models, CAD drawings and Accredited details.
For teachers and their students, it offers detailed insights into the construction industry. Partnerships with schools and colleges offer students hands on learning opportunities to help them develop and focus their interest in the construction sector. Unilin are proud supporters of the Technoteachers Conference, www.technoteachers.ie, which they sponsor and exhibit at annually.
Two Innovation Centres – in Ireland and the UK
At the heart of the Discovery Hub offering are two modern state-of-the-art innovation centres, one in Navan at the company’s headquarters and the other in Chesterfield in the UK. These centres are a forum for face-to-face training and collaboration. They were specifically designed to forge partnerships through the sharing of knowledge with the aim of creating the best in construction, together. They offer practical training areas and visitors can benefit from honest, uncomplicated advice and see up close examples of best practice installation and compliance. Both centres feature interactive displays, cut away models and practical training areas.
